To ensure effective knowledge transfer we will coordinate and organise a series of training events (17 physical and 11 knowledge transfer webinars) throughout the course of the project.
To bring all our training and webinar needs together, the European and Chinese partners have a final training plan (PDF) which showcases expected dates, topics and the partners involved in delivering each training or webinar.
Webinar: February 2025, Comprehensive decision support for valorization of agricultural residues
Download the accompanying slide deck here.
This webinar aims to explore data-driven tools to estimate the valorisation potential of agricultural and secondary by-products at an early stage. This session offers practical insights, data, and tools for researchers, farmers, traders, and cooperatives.
The methodology covers key aspects of sustainability by design, addressing issues on economic and environmental impacts, safety, and resource use efficiency. Using data-driven tools, we’ll present insights into residue compositions, availability by country, and conversions into high-value products, along with early estimates of yields and climate impacts. Practical examples will demonstrate how to identify the best applications for specific residues and highlight promising residues for applications like PHA production or biomethane generation.
Webinar: November 2024, Seminar on microbial PHA production
This session united experts from academia and industry to explore innovative approaches to sustainable bioplastics production and waste valorization. The event was moderated by Dr. Zhiyong Ruan (IARRP-CAAS), Dr. Mingxiong He (BIOMA-CAAS), and Dr. Chao Yang (NKU), and opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Aimin Shi (AgriLoop Project Coordinator for China, IFST-CAAS). Dr. Shi highlighted the importance of microbial PHA production as a sustainable solution for addressing environmental challenges through bioplastic development.
